I posted some more pictures of the "Baywatch" photoshoot. Some of the pictures not too appropriate for the web...teenagers look "too good" in their bathing suits;)! Oh, to be young again.

Today went to the beach back in California and took our dog Luke. It was his first time and loved it. I have a couple more pictures that I am working on that I will post later.

Have a good one,
Sela

I just love your artistic approach.

The hair is just too cool!

The seagull looks like he is smiling.

And the one with the kids jumping is just fabulous!!! Did you add some other effect to it? I would certainly frame that one.

Hi, Kimi..just got back from walking the doggie...it's a hot one today!!!

the one picture with the kids jumping..their backs turned away from the camera...has about 3 artistic layers -- dry brush, water color, and accented edges. No color enhancements...didn't need them. Picture was taken right when the sun had set and I liked the colors already there. I have a bad habit of "playing" with the different layers and not writing down what I did. From now on, I'll be taking notes! Thanks for the compliments.

Take care,
Sela

I noticed your beach images in the new gallery postings yesterday and checked out your gallery and it's great! You caught that jumping action and hair flipping just perfectly. I really enjoyed browsing your gallery. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again for all the compliments. I get so frustrated sometimes, cuz I'll admire everyone's galleries and just say to myself, "How the heck did they do that?" I am soooooooooooo new at all of this. You all inspire me to learn this stuff...which is so much fun, that's for sure.

Julie, your picture of the girl on the beach using the Suzi B's (peaches) posterlike technique, can you guide me to where I can read up on that?

Wendy, your gallery is just.......AMAZING!!!!!

Diana, the "doggies" on the couch is so very cool. I must learn to do that. I saw it in the mag, and I will definitely try that one. That one put a huge smile on my face. I have a coach potatoe, too!

Kim R, the picture of your niece with the maracas...so creative and darling.

As always, thanks for your kind words,
Sela

Selawela,

I love the colors. My favorite is your main photo with the kids facing away and jumping. Cute kids too.

Thanks, JonJon! I need to learn how to use the frame tools myself. The "dragonwood" picture is great, and the frame that you created really showcases the shot nicely. I have no clue how you did that, but would like to learn. So my question is, "How did ya do that?" Maybe if you get a chance you can just give me a little hint on the steps that you took. I hate to impose, but making frames is not really easy for me. If I manage to make one, it is a super easy one and not much to it. I love the frames that people use and I guess I need to study up on that technique.

By the way, I like your avatar. Did you check out my seagull in my gallery? Mine was smiling, as someone had pointed out!!!!!

Oh, and by the way, JonJon, this place is addicting....be careful!!!!!!!!

Sela: Here (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24784&highlight=critique) is the link to the thread where Suzi explained the poster technique. You'll want to experiment with it. I'm not entirely sure what I tweaked in that image, but one change which can give nice results is to reduce the opacity of the hard light layer. I'm pretty sure on that one I kept some of the color when I converted the one layer to b&w. Have fun with it and let me know if you have questions...

Sela,
Great pictures. You really captured the moment. Love the hair one the most I think...but sure like the kids jumping too. Fantastic.

Your pictures are great! I like the sea gull flying over head. I took one similar to that, but not near as good as yours. I like the light coming through his wings.
