Same flowers, different butterfly. :p

I really like this image. The light was coming right into his wings.
Is this one better?

Simone... that is how it came out of the camera. All I have done to it is...

cropped, sharpened a little, levels, oh and I did a mask on his body in screen mode so it would show a little more. :)

They also have a competition of digital images that can be... very photoshopped. As in, I can enter all the strange stuff I like. :)

Were you using your 18-200 and zooming close up?

Maybe it looks a bit sharpened, to me....

I did crop so I wasn't that zoomed in. I thought it looked over sharpened myself but it is the light. I tried sharpening and ended dropping that layer down to about 18% opacity.

I never take my 18-200 off.

Butterfly is a Black Swallowtail, I believe.

your picture inspires me to hunt for butterflys with the camera. That may come a lot quicker than getting that thieving squirril that liked my tomatoes.

He could have at least let me get a picture of him stealing them.:eek:
