Added a new photo to gallery. Last Saturday our family went to the zoo, while there we had a peacock come up to us. My mother-in-law was using a wheel chair and the peacock kept going around from one side to the other side. After a few trips around the w/c we realized that he was seeing himself on the side of the chair. We had a crowd gathering around and then when we started to move on the peacock followed us. Later on in the day a man saw us and asked did we still have our peacock with us. I was being to think that we may be taking the bird home. They are such a beautiful bird and the blue is so bright.

Rachel, I laughed out loud at your story.
We have peacocks wandering around at our Milwaukee zoo but I have never seen them tagging along as you described.
That really is a great blue; you captured and presented it perfectly.

Oh that is great ... and I do like the way you have framed it.
We have peacocks visit our garden, usually in the breading season when they are trying to find a new mate, and when they catch site of themselves in a window reflection they will often attack it.
They tend to see it as a rival

What a funny story! That peacock must have thought he/she had a prospective mate. Love your photo...great shot and frame.

Thanks everyone for the kind works. Yes, it was something to see. We had never seen anything like it ourselves before. It was amusing to watch.

Rachel,
nicely caught photo of a gorgeous bird.
The peacock obviously thought the reflection was a rival and was looking for a way to get at it.
