OK - I will be off for a while. I got a new 22" widescreen Viewsonic today. I preferred my old Viewsonic to my latest Samsung so I went that route. The store I usually deal with was asking $499.00 plus tax. Just happens on our way to get the monitor I popped into Staples to get some more card paper. I decided to take a quick look at their monitors. They had my Monitor same one VX2235wm with a three year warranty on for $379. I went to my store and they matched the price. That was a saving of $140. when I included tax. Wow - am I ever glad I needed the card paper from Staples. So when my husband gets back from taking the dog for a walk we are going to install. The guy said unplug the Samsung and plug in the Viewsonic. Those simple words have never seemed to work before. So, I may be back tonight or I may be back next week - but I really hope there is no frustration involved because I am not good with stress these days.

PS - Linda - I think I need help!!!! - I got this in piano black to match our new 37" LCD piano black Sharp TV. I loved your post of 8th June here.

Thanks Wendy and Kim I'm here - It might have been plug and play but it's the millions of cords behind the scenes that are so confusing. Ron has them all marked but even so it looks like a speghetti dinner. Then the internet somehow became unplugged and had to find that plug. We are on the floor with a flashlight because all our stuff is in a custom built cabinet that cannot be pulled out. Oh well was done and I cannot believe how big this monitor seems compared to my 17". I tried Photoshop and it is so nice to be able to have the extra room to work with all my pallettes showing. It is pouring rain here - June in Vancouver - and if it does not clear up I can play all day - if it clears up we are going to the Jazz Fest that is in our Gastown area. I am trying to do all I can before my next Chemo on Wed when I might not feel so well. Be ready for some more images in my gallery!!!

Shari,
Your story is helpful-- someone might be thinking of getting a new monitor and you can give them advice!:)

So glad to see you back on-line and to hear that the new monitor didn't take days to get hooked up!:) And I love your description of all of the cords:D--I wish everything could be wireless (without additional cost)!:D
