Thanks to everyone for their comments. This little girl plays so very hard that she turns bright red as a result. It isn't sunburn. I am still new at PSE4 and spending a lot of time trying various ways to correct photos, etc. I really did not know exactly how to remove that bright red tone, but did it as best I could. I can't remember exactly how I did it now, but believe I used hue/saturation to remove the red and used Glau. Blurr. Any suggestions on what I could have used in order to do it better? I tried Skin Tone, but that didn't work because she was so red.

Yes removing the red can be tricky!! You have to be careful you don't remove too much and end up with a grey looking face. My daughter's friend is the same way and it was a challenge to remove enough but not too much. Your way works. There is more to the colour theory of this also like adding the opposite colour on the colour wheel to get rid of the red, but on skin tones things can get complicated and I still have a lot to learn in that department.

My son is the very same, any bit of exertion and he turns a bright red.
I tried the Skin Tone one on a photo last weekend but it didn't work either, I'll have to try the hue/sat and see if that works for me too.

I like the photo but he's standing right beside someone with a normal tone and sticks out like a sore thumb
