This is a picture of my dad (2nd from left) with his mom and some of his siblings taken in 1923.

The first thing I had to do was repair the damage on the front wheel and in the sky. I looks like maybe deveoper was spilled on it. I duplicated the layer, removed the color, darkened it then went back to the top layer and erased the damaged wheel and spot in the sky, then I removed the color from the top layer to match. I then did a levels adjustment, repaired tears and other spots with the clone tool, then sharpened it a little.

I'm not very good at explaining what I've done so I hope its understandable.

Thanks so much for your nice comments! :)

Yes, it is great to have so many family memories. A cousin of mine has most of the originals but her husband has been so great about scanning and burning them to CD's to share. With the one's they have sent me plus what I already had, I have over 700 old photo's. Needlees to say I have a lot of work to do restoring them . Some are very poor guality but I still like to give them a try. I am very thankful to have them. :D

Sharon, that's a treasure, and you've restored it very nicely. I love that they are all eating watermelon (if I'm not mistaken).

Sharon,

Wow! What an excellent job of restoration. Very nice work on the after image. Like very much what you did with the wheel. Look forward to seeing more of your restorations.
