Here is a picture of my sister I took last summer. It was one of my first projects that I did. For her wedding she wore a watch so that her tan line would be covered but I didn't like it on her. I then realized I forgot to turn off the date so that was removed as well. Those were my two challenging areas. This picture will always be one of my favorites as the paid photographer didn't get many pictures that were good. I took this picture, edited it and then gave it to her for a Christmas present last year. Boy was she delighted. Let me know what you think.

I'm new. Browsing, this caught my eye. The conversion from color to black and white, leaving the color in the brides bouquet was a nice idea. Your sisters dress is beautiful. Trying to get a better look at the bodice I noticed something. I'm viewing this on a laptop, which I am never sure on screen position for the correct color and elumination. No matter what position I tilted my screen something became more and more apparent. The bodice is reflecting a lot of light. Much more than any other white in the picture. I was wondering if you tried to isolate the bodice and edit the relection/highlights of that part of the shot? Regardless, it is very nice picture!:-)

WEE: Welcome to the forum! The white bodice and not white skirt, is an effect. It's called a vignette. The center of the picture is untouched, while the whole entire edges are darkened. If you go the other direction on the slider, you can go white instead of black. I love the effect on most pictures, especially those that don't have much of a background. Sure hope to see some of your before and afters soon.

Hi, I didn't mean to offend if I did. I was driven to see the details in her bodice! I hope to submit photos soon. As I've mentioned to Wendy, everything, camera, LAPTOP, and editing program are new. Thinking I need to master my camera before I start any real creative work with editing. I hope to at least submit to the gallery soon. again, I really enjoyed that photo, it was the one that made me stop looking at the rest! Wendy

You didn't offend, sorry if I came across like I was. I'm so new to this editing thing that I guess I have to say alot to explain what I did. For me I simply take the picture and fix it on the computer later. I figure I will work with my camera as I go, but for now, I take as many pictures as I can.
