Does anyone know where there is a good basic photography class on line. I need to know how to use the features on my camera better. I have a Canon S1 IS that I haven't been to happy with but I think it is the operator not the camera. Thanks for any advice.

Sandy,

I am in week 5 of a 6 week online course at LVS Online. http://www.lvsassociates.com/register/product_info.php?products_id=78 I highly recommend this class. It was originally written for "film" cameras but has been updated to be focused primarily on digital. The class I am in has about 25 students and the forum for the class is very active and the teacher is VERY involved. The class was $25 and worth every penny. The teacher is out of Canada and we have students from everywhere including one girl currently working in Abu Dhabi and one who lives in Melbourned. Great class. If you have any questions, let me know! Kc

Thank you so much. The price is right so I am going to give it a try. Any knowledge that I can pick up will be a plus. I have a passion for this but am so new and everything is just overwhelming. So anyway I think a class or two will definately help me.

Thanks again...

You may want to check out Lee Otsubo. He's very helpful on this forum and he provides web classes too.
This is a link to a thread (updated in installments) that he started last fall to explain DSLR basics.
