Hi Yolly ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

The download is a large one ... but how long it takes to download really depends on the speed of your internet connection. What speed is that ??

Hi & thanks for the welcome Wendy!

I think it's because we are only on dial up - good old Telstra - we still can't get broadband anyone would think we lived in the sticks lol

Yolly,

Where abouts are you? With the mention of Telstra, by any chance are you in Western Australia?

Yolly: here in the UK many Photography Magazines have free Cd's/DVD's which often include trials of packages including Photoshop Elements. If you find downloading impossible on your dial-up, have a look at Photography
magazines - you may be lucky and find Elements on a
CD/DVD.

And for your downloads,,,yes dial up is rather slow...but 66hrs? that would have to drive a person nuts:eek:

Just a suggestion !!!1 have you checked for any virus's they do have a tendency to slow things down also..

Anyway hope that you manage to download the trial version of elements

Yolly,

Welcome to this very friendly forum! I totally agree with Wendy, it is worth subscribing to this web site. However if you can't do that right away, you are still very free and welcome to ask as many questions as you need here. Someone will be sure and answer your questions!

I would suggest BEFORE you click on Submit Reply, that you scroll down a bit, and select Thread Subscription/Notification Type. I use Instant email notification. When someone does answer your question, you will be notified via email, with a link to click on that will bring you back to the answer! :)

Yolly,

Have sent you a PM. Have a look at top right hand side just down from the very top and you will see "Welcome (and your name)"; and the second line down has "Private Messages:" Click on that to read any PM.

Karen :)
