Hi Everyone!
I'm so new I don't even have Photoshop lol I'm really confused as to which version I need and really hope someone can point me in the right direction! I've had a quick look thru forums and before/after pics are amazing.
Ok - I'm a scrapper (not digital) and would love to alter my photos, make collages (is that possible with photoshop, if so which version) and generally play around!!
I really have no idea where to start - please help?!?!?!:o
Thanks in advance!:)

Hi- Why don't you try the trial version of Adobe PSE5 (as long as you're on a PC, if MAC, you'll need PSE4)? You can try it for 30 days. I have PSE5, and I do all the things that you mentioned. Good luck!

Hi Yolly
Welcome to the forums.:)
Photoshop Elements will likley fit the bill. It is not as quick and easy to sort out as some of the other "scrapping" programs, but for the money it is IMHO the best.
Photoshop will also work. It has a steeper learning curve and quite a few more options (a lot of which are geared for professionals but not exclusive to professional people) The cost is in the area of 7-10 times more, depending on what you can get Elements for and which version of Photoshop you opt for.

Hello Yolly,
Welcome to the forum :)
I agree with Kay, download the trial version and play with it a bit.
You can do collages in all versions of Elements but as 5 is the most recent you might want to invest in that version.
Give the trial a go and see how you get on!

Yolly....Welcome to the forum !!!!!!
As Kay mentioned try a trial version to see if you like it.....{you will:)}
Also if your in to scrapbooking..... Look at the top of this page and you will see a heading "elements User Forums...click on that and it will show a list of some of the forms......scroll down to Scrapbooking/Memory Management. Click on there and you will see a list that people have written.
Hope this helps

Hi Yolly,
Welcome to the forum. I used to be so new and confused....I totally understand where you are coming from.
AND....I AM an old paper scrapper from way back...have lots of those "frequent shopper" cards in many states, and more supplies than some stores - too;)
That said, I am so happy to be a part of this group and to have purchased PSE, 3,4, and then 5. (not to mention other stuff) .
I will still, not give up my paper totally... but am so happy to be here and have come so far. I love the digital photography, and the "fixes" and "creations " one can do with it.
The digital scrapbooking approach is a fun one too.
Go for the trial Kay suggested, or just do it!
There are lots of us here to help every step of the way.
