Here I am trying ot finally learn version 5 and I get a request to do a survey because version 6 will be out soon. Yikes, I can't keep up. I'm hoping they won't add a lot of new things so I don't have to buy more books

Susan,
How thoroughly I sympathize with you. I have upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 to 5.0 and just started really learning 5 in the last two weeks. The more I work with this, the more fed-up I am becoming with Adobe's overt over-commercialism.
I took the ten free tutorials given for "free" with PSE 5.0. Frankly, I was so disappointed with the content that I decided not to purchase a couple of the "for sale" tutorials. I recently bought a new PC and I used the same old excellent software. I am afraid that unless someone is a professional, in which case they probably will not be using Elements or unless you are just independently wealthy or spent your life having to have the latest and the greatest, it is time for less marketing, and some true, cost-free upgrading by Adobe.
Oh well, just my one cent since I started with two cents and I am in the process of letting Adobe bankruopt me!

I would hope that they upgrade PSE. If they are doing a survey then it sounds like they are in the planning stage which maybe means it will not be out for a while. But then again, they may have the pieces ready to go and just need to figure out what to put together. Constant upgrades keep the stockholder happy. Look at Microsoft, they will never let their software mature. Maybe if they did so we would not have so many problems.
Anyway as a consumer we do not have to buy the latest and greatest. I use quicken but only upgrade that about every three years or so. Personal taxes, well that is a different story since our government likes to add a new twist every year. Speak with your wallet.

The type of questions they asked made me feel they pretty much know what they are going to do with it as far as editing is concerned. There were a lot of questions about connectivity to the internet and sites for displaying photos, etc. Then they wanted to know about what to call these web sites. It'd much rather see them concentrate on the editing part of the software. There are enough sites out there to post your pictures on.
