I have just purchased Photoshop Elements 5.0 and I am wondering how one transfers (or is it automatic) pictures already in my computer within the Kodak Easyshare program into Photoshop Elements 5.0 program?

Wendy,

Thank you for your response! As of yet, no one else has responded to my question. I'm patient!

Thanks,

Hi Barry,

I don’t have a Kodak, but before moving to Elements, I was using the software that came with my Canon camera. As I recall, when I installed Elements and first started it went and scanned my system and linked everything via the Organizer.

If it doesn’t do it automatically, you can start the organizer from the Welcome screen and do a File, Get Photos from Files and Folders, then click on the Desktop thing on the left side, then click on My Documents. Over on the right, lower corner there is a Get Photos and just above it there should be a check box for Get Photos from Subfolders. Make sure there is a check there and then click on Get Photos. Elements will now scan you’re my documents and get all of your pictures that are stored there.

I would also make sure there is no check in the Automatically fix Red Eyes box as this can make the process very slow and there are other ways f dealing with red eyes when you get them. As to Photo Stacks box – I don’t use them. Organizer is big and to some people complicated. I just want to use it as a file browser and a tagging system, which it does in spades.
