Hi, I am fairly new to elemenst and have an existing gif image I need to change. The image currently comprises of an old logo and need to embed new logo but do not know how to do this

Would it be possible for you to post the image so we could see what you're talking about?

If you don't have another method, go to www.pixentral.com (http://www.pixentral.com) and upload your image. After it uploads, at the bottom of the image, copy the second line of code that says for forums, then paste it into a post here.

Welcome to the forum :)
If you open your gif image in Elements you will see that you will not be able to do very much with it, lots of things in the menus will be greyed out.
Go to Image (right next to edit) then click on Mode. You need to click on RGB Color.
This changes the image to a format you can work with.

After that you will be able to add your new logo with the move tool and do some alteration work on your file.
Make sure you save it as a PSD and you can save a copy as a gif when you have finished altering it.
