Is it possible to have one catalog save all files in one location (say a c drive for personal pics) and have another catalog save files in a seperate location (say the d drive for business pics)?
Thanks, I have not had any success with this and I am somewhat pessimistic. I was also thinking it might be possible to install photoshop album twice and keep one version one the c drive and another on the d drive so the catalogs can stay seperate.

Welcome to the forum, I'll have a bash at answering your question.
The catalog does not hold the files, it is merely a pictorial display of your photos and it knows where to go on your pc to find them.
You could have your personal catalogue keep track of your pictures on the c drive and create another catalog for business and only add the files from the d drive to that catalog.
I don't think there is any need to install the program twice to do what you want to do.
Good luck in your organizing.

If you uses PS EL 5, there is no problem using two different catalog, this is exactly what Adobe suggest too.
What i have done is this.
E:\Photos\
In this directory you find two sub directories
E:\Photos\EOS400
E:\Photos\old_photos
I have about 1500 photos in the "old_photos" i have made a catalog that point to that directory. In my "EOS400" directory i have all the new files that i take with my camera.
In PS EL 5 you can open one and one Catalog and import seperatly, i dont have the full direction here as i dont remember it (im still new to EL) but yes what you want to do is possible.
