I am trying to get a Photo Layout completed for a friends 50th and keep getting the following error message:

Could not complete your request because the tag cannot be found in content catalog

I have gone through the various help screens and tried a few things:

File - Catalog - Recover

File - Reconnect - All missing files

Does any one know how to correct. I could not find any answers on-line or within the help. One would think that if you searched on the error message you would be able to find the solution but this is not true with Abobe.

Thanks...................

Hi Bruce ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

Being a Mac user I can't help on this one but hopefully one of the Windows users will be along very soon and will be able to help you sort this out :)

Wendy and everyone else,

I am suspicious that the error message relates to some object used during the Photo Layout procees - and not to the Organizer catalog.

So will someone please tell Bruce how to rebuild the controls/catalog/database of the objects that are used by Photo Layout.

Bruce,

It might help if you post some detail about exactly what you were doing when you receive this error message. Had you started the Photo Layout process, chosen a background etc. ? What was the last action that worked as well as the action that failed?

Everyone,

I will continue to follow this thread in case there are Organizer questions.

Hi ...

To rebuild the Artwork & Effects just close down Elements and then hold down the Shift Key and restart Elements ... keep holding the shift key down until te Artwork & Effects has rebuilt :)

Thanks, you are a life saver. I spent a few hours trying to figure it out. It just shows how small the world is becoming when I have a problem in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and get a fix in a few hours from the UK.

Thanks again, and have a nice day............

Hi Bruce ...

So glad that it worked :)

... and a big thanks to Barb for setting us on the track of what was causing the problem ...
