Am wondering how to save downloads into PSE5. I have downloaded some of Wendy's parchment paper to my desktop and it is now in a zip file. Can anybody steer me to a tut on getting it into PSE? Or give me some basic instructions? I was sure I've seen this on the forum before but can't find the thread anymore. (Or don't know how to look for it) thanks for all the encouragement so far :)

Hi Toni

I would unzip it into a folder and depending on what type of file it is you just open it Elements as you would any other file.

It sounds like you are getting the bug.:D

Keep in mind that as you get more into this program you will likely be downloading lots of extras, especially if you will be scrapping.
Plan for a place to put embelishments, brushes, backgrounds, shapes.
While some of these need to be loaded as Elements starts (brushes and shapes), and have a special place to go, others you just load as you need. So keeping some sort of system is a good idea.:)

You are so right Gary - I am getting the bug alright. My head is a spinnin' with all the info I have read since subscribing yesterday. I resented having to leave my research to do some shopping and cooking! One day I am gonna stop reading and actually do something lol

Toni

It is very overwhelming when you first start. On top of that the tuts in the subs area can keep you busy for months.:D

It is hard to take it one step at a time, best thing to do, is try a tut that looks like you can handle and work at that.:)

I agree Gary, and that's what I will get onto now. Another expense I hadn't counted on - just looked up my internet account and find I have exceeded my monthly allowance. oops, better slow down :(
