Hi,

I have recently installed PSE5 on a new Vista PC after using PSE3 on my old PC. In the past I have created web galleries (PSE3) and uploaded them to my ISP provided web page for interstate family to view. My family have then been able to save down their favourite pics onto their own PCs for printing, etc. When I have tried to do this in PSE5, I found that the new Flash based galleries look great, and use less memory, but my family are no longer able to save the photos from the web page.

How do you go about sharing your photos over the web?

I tend to take a lot of photos to share with a bit of a broad group so individual emails aren't really a workable solution for me. I also tend to have two web pages going at any given time (one for family and the other for our local soccer team) and loved the simplicity of using PSE3 web galleries (since I have no web page creating skills).

Thanks.

Have you tried uploading to Photoshop Showcase? It comes as a free service with PSE5 so costs nothing to try it and I find it quite useful for sharing PSE5 created Flash Web Galleries.

You do not have to use PSE5. Go back and create your galleries with PSE3. This is only one reason why I have Elements 2,3, and 5 on my PC.
For the existing galleries, your family could make screenshots. The individual image files are actually up there, but kind of hard to get to. A sample path looks like this:

There is also JAlbum - which is free, and will create web-based galleries.
