I was playing around with an image of my son and the result (not quite finished) looks almost 3D. Check it out. I think it looks cool.

I really enjoy taking photos of flowers and nature. (no yunguns). I would really be interested in the technique you used. Most of the time when i come up with something really good. I can't rememeber how i did it.:confused:

Hi all. Glad you like it. I first duplicated my backgroung layer. With this new layer highlighted I then selected Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur. I forget how much blur I applied but it was plenty.
Then I selected my eraser tool and carefully erased the blur from the flowers and my son. And that's it!

I was thinking I might be able to enhance the 3D effect if I erased the blur from half the flower stems and leaves. MAYBE. I'm going to give it a go when I have time.

I think we tried something like this awhile back and we all thought it made things look miniature!
