I'm willing to set up a web location for a project set aside for beginner PSE Users -- This will be a scrapbook page where you can participate in a project together. It is along the same line as one already in progress, but if you aren't ready for the advanced level -- then this is your chance to participate with other people on your level.
If I get enough responses for this idea I will set up a web location to hold the files and will moderate the progress and turns like I've been doing in the other thread.
To sign up -- just reply to this thread with an interest and see what happens.

Well said Wendy -- OK I'll build the page this weekend and get it started -- maybe more will want to participate and make it a big beginner project. But this file will be called beginner00 to start. I think everyone should be able to participate at a level that is comfortable. So if you want to jump ship Jazzfisher and come to this one give me a PM and I'll switch you.

I consider my job one of dreams come true. I spend 8.5 hours at work each day, occasionally a little more. From early evening until past supper time I am by myself due to my wife's schedule. So I have 1 1/2 hours to play before she gets home.
So I like my job that allows me to play with the computer and software that I'm interested in.
Having acquired a domain name for myself -- named after me; I decided that it would solve one issue of being able to share a file -- and now that it works I thought it would be good to expand on that idea. I enjoy being able to participate in this way.

OK with tinkering I found out the script only works from the base directory, so we'll be using the same Upload/Download folder as the advanced topic. File name will be different so it won't be too difficult to locate what you're looking for.
When it is your turn use the following URL to access the storage site for our project.

OK Wombat2 -- that is what the beginner00 series of files is all about. A level for people who haven't done anything like this -- just do your best with your part of the page when it is your turn. It is not being graded or critiqued unless you ask for it to be critiqued.
If you have problems or questions just ask.
the link above will take you to the instruction page where you'll find guidance and visual of the upload/download page. Just click on the link and then after reading the instructions click on a link to the Upload and Download Page and you'll be there.

Hey Will,
Is there a way that I can take my turn later???
I am scheduled for surgery later this week, It will be a little impossible for me. I would hate to hold up the progress of the page.
Gosh I was looking forward to this. Not really sure if i'll be able to hobble up the stair for about a week.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Mayva W A I T ! ! ! I had you in for the advanced -- just waiting for your turn.
There are actually two scrapbook pages going on -- one called projectxx for the more advanced people. It is the original idea of Jodi Frye -- I just provided my web space for a community effort.
Of course, extending that idea I added a beginnerxx file system so people who need to start out can do a page together with people of similar skills.
So which do you want to join? I will put your name on the list and then notify you of your turn.
Now that is a deal for a Friday evening if I ever saw one. :D 8)

It amazes me how far Jodi's idea has gone -- now that we have a web presence for these projects we'll have to do some more -- perhaps working on a theme together.
So far the two in progress are going to be built along a line established but not necessarily a theme.

This question is for Dorrie H. or anyone else that would like to respond to my question.
I was wondering what type of digital camera you used to create these beautiful pictures? Also, how do you get the writing or frames around the photo? I have the Cannon PowerShot G1. I have taken many photos with my camera, but haven't done anything creative with them as of yet. Any advice world be greatly appreciated.
This is my first time to this site/forum. Hope to hear from you.

I did not take the picture for this project. willpresley did. I happen to use an Olympus C4040Z. I like Gary am not sure what frames you are referring to. If you are referring to photos in the Gallery, then there would be several ways they might have been created.
Keep posting your questions, someone is sure to have an answer.

Well we did one that was for intermediate to advanced participants and it should be done in a few days -- I'll post a separate thread with a link to the final product.
These are just for fun and a team effort to build something together using elements software. We only use PSD format and turn off the maximize option as it makes files twice as big and is unnecessary as we are all using Adobe software.
If you'd like to participate let me know beginner is open at this time, the advanced one is closed to new participants but keep in touch with this forum as we will start more projects with teams of 10 or less so that all members get a chance to participate within a reasonable amount of time.
Just for fun and experience that is all they are about.

Not yet we are at the final stages of both projects -- and I'll be posting them to Pixentral to show off the work.
