Suggested Classes for Scrapbookers/PSE 5.0 Users:

(a) Drop Shadow Tricks - While the drop shadows w/PSE5 are okay, I'd
like to know some addt'l tricks for using them (I've resorted to buy
some okay ones from the internet).

(b) Actions Than Run on PSE5 - Filling in us users what/how we can install
actions.

Love the newsletter, the site and hope that you may add these topics to a video, tutorial or an article in your newsletter!

Hi Leslie ...

I have already done a couple of tutorials for making shadows ...

Casting Shadows (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/subscriber/tutorials/tw_castingshadows.php)

and

Drop Shadow on its own layer (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1784)

What specific sort of shadows are you interested it ...

Also there is some information on the forum regarding how to install actions ... but it depends on which version of Elements you have.

Tks for getting back to me Wendy! Realistic shadows (for ribbons, cardstock, photos) when creating scrapbook pages and actions such as aging a photo is what I'm interested in. I'm going to check out your tutorials.

Tks again for your immediate help!

Wendy - I forgot to say that I'm using PSE 5.0. I've tried using the installed drop shadows and then try to create an addt'l layer about my object and add addt'l shadows and then have merged them together with disasterous results.

Hi Leslie ...

Sounds like Drop Shadow on its own layer (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1784) is the tut you need ...

... when you use the built in drop shadows you need to have the "item" on its own layer with a transparent area all around it. Then apply the drop shadow and adjust it ... :)

Here are links to all my tuts :) ... but you do need to be already logged on to the Subscriber area to access most of them.
