I was sent an old photo by Email the problem is that elements will not open it . I have tried all the formats and none of them open it. If anyone can help I would really be greatful.

Arabma: You might want to try downloading and installing IrfanView, a free image viewing program for PC's. IrfanView can open almost all picture formats; once open in IrfanView, it can be saved to JPEG so you can then open it in Elements. I use IrfanView as my default picture viewer; it has lots of nice features and is very stable. Hope that helps.

Good point, Kev. The plug-ins include some of the goodies, like full EXIF info.

Those are just different sites where you can download Irfanview. They all download the same software. Just pick one, any one.

I have never understood this myself, but you will be downloading the Irfanview file from a different server, not from Irfanview directly. They are giving you the option of choosing which server to download their file from.
I used TUCOWS, and you will need 2 links to get both the main program plus the plug-ins.
