Please critque this layout! Is it too campy? Too busy? Does it need something? Did I mess up the spelling? :D

Jane,
For my taste, it's not campy and not too busy. But I think it's kinda flat looking. I have made no secret on this Forum of my love for vibrant colors.
I wouldn't go neon :), but I would consider something with a little more punch to it than the green background you are using. If the PJs were bright, the background would be OK.

Hi Jane,
Your picture is beautiful, well done.
Rusty does have a point, brightening up the green might make the boys stand out a little more.
If you go with a colour change try for a lighter green or maybe try picking out the yellow/orange from the PJ's, although personally I think a lighter green would swing it :)

Thanks for the input - I'll try punching up the green a little bit. It is supposed to look like a grass football field. :)

Jane, it looks great. My thought on the green background is that it should look more like a football field with the white yard lines. Not to bright a white, maybe a reduced opacity to it but it may just be what it needs to brighten up a little and not look so dull.

Jane,
How cute!:) I love the caption! I think the green you used fits the page, but agree with Kim that maybe some "yard lines" with a chalk effect might add more to the green.

Jane this is way too cute. That caption is just the greatest.
I love this.
I like the idea of the yard lines and there is a paper in that kit with the yard lines. How perfect it would be. The green is bolder in it. But dropping the opacity would be perfect. :)
I love that caption, I had to sneak another peak.
My big smile of the day. THANKS!

Jane,
I like the layout! The only change I would make is " Future Football Stars"
Great work.

John, that would be so, but the photo isn't twins. It's one boy, two images.
Jane, if there is a paper with the yard lines, give it a try.

Here is version two.... I punched up the color of the green and added some white lines to it. (on another layer and drop the opacity done to about 60%) The playing field that was included in the gridiron set was just to dark of green.
Oh and yes I only have one son! I can only imagine the destruction and mayhem that would follow if there were two of him - at 15 months he was in th 95% percentile for height and weight. He has already figured out how to drop a shoulder and throw a pretty impressive tackle! He is 17 months old today - and I don't think his growth is slowing down much if any.

I like this new version a whole lot better - thanks for all your suggestions. :)

Yep, I like it a lot.
Isn't it funny how just the slightest change in hue and/or saturation can make such a difference.

Thanks everyone! I've been scrapping like a mad woman the past 24 hours and am finally caught up on my son's baby book - I think....
Need to put the finishing touches on my daughters book (birth - 3rd birthday) will probably be right around a 100 pages. Trying to double check all of my spelling...... :D
Some of those first layouts are not the greatest, (I was so new to elements and scrapping) think I might just have to make some minor tweeks. :)
