I have searched all over google and everything I've found about how to use *.atn files in PSE 5 is bogus. I use Windows XP, I bought PSE 5 xmas 06, and I guess it hate me for some reason.

Where on earth do you put the little devils? How do you use them?

I'm so confused.

I delete the two db3 files in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0

Then put the Actions in Some Folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects\Some Folder

The problem is I can't find the 'Application Data' folder.

Grab the "Open Folder.CMD" file in the ZIP:

Delete the other stuff from ZIP, not useful...

Hi ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

Just wondered where you got the .atn file from ... as the ones written for Photoshop only work if all the commands they contain are doable by Elements ...

So you may find that the action was loaded into the correct place but the reason it wasn't working was due to the incompatbility problems ..

Hi Wendy

I'm working on some ATN files that are now working much better than expected. Out of millions of possibilities in Palar filter work, I begin to find systems in the big chaos.

Below is one of the new one that I made today. Unfortunately the examination of this topic goes very slowly...

See picture :-)

Yes :D
I'm still hesitating with the new ATN files.
Now its also some strange. The math formulas are now
so both complex and the used PSE Polar filter is also
included. In other words, image can NOT be made without
computer. The Star was used as source image
(see previous recipe with Gradients...) anyhow, those
pictures that I got now look similar to those that
one have seen on antiquity stones or books so if not an
archaeologist can't show me a stoneage computer , then
those images shouldn't exist, but I'm sure that I have seen
some of them. More strange is that those are the most complex
and is also recursive...
