Fergus

This is one I made for a friend. The lady who is a spinster has a property on the edge of the Forest, she is devoted to all animals especially horses. Until the beginning of 2006 she had a cat, who passed away at the age of 16.
Anyhow a little while later she found on her land a dead she cat and four dead kittens and one barely alive. She took it in, hand reared it and that is how Fergus found a wonderful home. We were talking one day and she showed me the photo of Fergus and asked if I could make a print she could frame. No floral decorations, something plain with a verse.
This is what I came up with, she loved it and I got six bottles of homemade wine.
The poem is by Francis Witham.

pleased you like it. It was a pleasure doing it for her and besides she has a reputation of being a healing women, which is to say she has strange powers,
I don't believe it but better safe than sorry.
I haven't tried the wine yet, you've got to sitting before you drink these home made wines - they pack a punch.

We tried a bottle of Elderflower wine yesterday, four years old, it was lovely but two glasses were enough. Definitely falling down water!!

My husband makes Elderberry wine and Blackberry wine and those are way powerful :)

A couple of years ago he made Elderflower Champage ... very nice but a little unstable :eek:
