I came upon this interesting tutorial. I haven't tried it yet, although I intend to. But I thought I'd share it with you all.

I finally took a few minutes to follow the tutorial and made myself a set of Grunge Brushes. I thought if I made them in strips, they could be stamped along the edges of photos.

It's really fun making them. After I got started by following the tutorial for the first couple, I found it was just as effective to create a document 3" x .25" at 300 ppi and use other brushes to stamp around on my strip and then use the eraser with different brushes to make them even grungier to get some unique grunge effects.
Here's the whole set of 10 grunge strip brushes I made.
