The local community college offers a class in PSE5 - but it is really basic and from the class description I already know how to do what they are teaching.

Then I saw the ad for their 4 part - 12 hour series on CS2. Do you think that would be of benefit to me? Would the knowledge gained be applicable to PSE5?

I haven't touched any of the college credits I have coming to me from my year in Americorps - so the classes would be free (I think).

I'm not planning on buying Photoshop, (at least I don't think so:) ) as PSE does pretty much everything I need it to.

Hi Jane ...

If the Photoshop class is pretty basic too then I doubt that it would help. I would try to get more information about it ..

If its teaching in more depth then I would think that you will learn from it as many of the techniques will be doable in Elements ..

The only downside I can see is that it may well make you want to get Photoshop :D :D

Just discovered they are non-credit courses and while the $55 fee per 4/hours is reasonable enough. It's not currently in my budget. :(

Oh well, there is still plenty for me to learn here - I was just thinking that some dedicated time for learning with all small children constantly interupting would be nice. :)
