Hi Dezmund
Welcome to the forums.:)
Which method are you using for the sepia? Not that it should matter but just checking.

I am so gld I found this forum. It has been so helpful. I adjust my hue and saturation, make a adjustment layer, with the following , R=91,G=56,B=17, color burn overlay then I lower my opacity, I am not sure this is correct but it’s the only way I know how to get to a sepia that looks kind of what I want. I would like more of deep brown but I can’t get it. Thanks for your help.

There is this absolutely marvelleous program freeware, called tonehacker, that this Guillermo guy from Spain wrote!

You load a picture that has the tone you like and it somehow copies it. Then you load yours and apply it, voila same tone. Its another one of those masterful things you can get on the internet for free. Even does split toning. Its on the luminous landscape forum. This must be one smart dude!

A couple of other ways. Make a Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color and change the Blend Mode to Color (and then adjust the color of the fill layer). Or add a Hue Saturation Adjustment Layer, check the Colorize box and adjust the sliders to get the tone you want.
It usually helps to do a levels adjustment first to get a good tonal range for the image you're working on.
If you really want to experiment you can do duo and tri toning using the first method by selecting different tonal ranges with the magic wand and adding a fill layer of a different color for each selection.
