hi am pretty new to digital scrapbooking.i have done a few layouts using some freebie kits.basically my pix are all 72 dpi(i use a sony cybershot t9) and the kits are all 300dpi.should i resize the picture to 300dpi? or just leave it as it is b4 using it on a layout.if i've gotta resize should i check or uncheck resampling???And is there anyway i can change the camera setting so that the pictures i take are 300dpi??
thanx in advance

You are confusing dpi with ppi.

Dpi refers to dots per inch when printing. PPi is pixels per inch within your picture. The ppi can be found if you look at the properties of each picture.

What is the ppi of your pictures? 480x640 up to 3600x3600?

If your picture is 3600x3600 you can print a 12x12 at 300dpi

All you have to do is take your measurement and divide it by the dpi you want to have. 3600 divided by 300 dpi is 12 inches.

Hope that helped.

Hi,
I tend to just drag the photo into the layer. You will have to resize your photo but the overall size will be 300ppi.
