Organizer and My Pictures

I decided to organize My Pictures folder but when I opened PSE5 Organizer a load of my pictures needed reconnecting. I eventually found them all.

Am I right in thinking that if I mess with the My Pictures folder then Organizer loses the link for them? If this is the case is there a way round it?

There is no way around the Organizer if you are going to use it. If you don't want any pictures to get disconnected like that, everything you do with them needs to be done within the Organizer. At least that's my understanding of it.

Thanks Gene, that's what I thought.

If I email pictures I like to use them from My Pictures and have trouble finding them sometimes. Oh well, you can't have everything - won't do that again;)

What I do, since my email program is not supported by PSE, is do a save for web and resize the image when I save it down to something better suited for email, then save it to a folder on my desktop so I can find it easily. I generally don't keep those files once I've mailed them.

You can do this thru the Organizer if you set your preferences (Edit, Preferecnces, Sharing) to Save to Hard Disk. . . .

You then sinply select the files in Organizer, click on the Share Icon and select Email. It outputs the shots and gives you choices as to what size, format, etc and puts them in a directory of your choice. Then, with whatever email program you are using, you select Attachements, navigate to that folder and there they are, waiting to be selected.
