Multiple catalogs

pse5 is exquisitely silent on transferring selected images from My Catalog to a new Named Catalog. Yes, one can create a new named catalog. But populating the catalog remains a mystery.
There is a copy command but no paste command.
There is no move command.
Any ideas?

I believe the concept was one catalog for all photos -- the tags would then allow one to sort and organize those photos. You can have multiple catalogs but they cannot easily be synchronized -- I don't know of any way to transfer the tags from one catalog to another.

To Save your tags to a file go to the Tags Icon and click on it. Choose Save Tags to file. Go to your 2nd catalog and go to the Tags icon and choose From File.

It works like a charm I've done this with Digital Scrapbooking classes I've taught and it saves people a lot of time from doing their own tags.

Even the picture in the tag is saved to the file.
