View Full Version : Like a Sheet Hanging Out to Dry

I was at a dance performance the other night. On the backdrop behind the dancers there was a shape like a sheet blowing in the wind on a clothesline. The show wasn't all that great, but I got to thinking about an image I'm working on... Is there a way to distort a rectangle so that the sides curve in as if it were a sheet hanging out to dry? My instincts say "free transform," but when I tried that I couldn't quite get the effect I had in mind. Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip. I'd like to show you what I have so far, but I don't know how to attach an image.

Wendy, click on one of the images above. It will open as a new window/tab. Above the image is an underlined link, "Upload". Click on the link and it will take you to a page where you can browse to the location of the image on your hard disk. When you have located the file, click on "Send" and it will generate a page with your image on it. Scroll down below the image and select the link (right click, select all) next to "Forum". Right click and select "Copy". Paste this link into your post to this forum and your image should appear. It is good to preview the post first before really posting to make sure it worked.
Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask!
