View Full Version : Learned something New today, Thanks to Kimi's Homework lesson # 15

I liked the homework lesson # 15 (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23020), but while work on another photo I learned that if you change the white to a light gray, you can give the photo back just a hint of color. I just loved the effect.

Tinting is a wonderful technique-I like to use it on antique photos where bright color would be too much. I've always admired old hand tinted photos.

You know Carol, I haven't even thought to do that on the antique photo's that I have. Thanks for the input.

My pleasure-I had a very old photo of my dad, taken in a studio when he was about 18 months old. He was sitting on this shaggy rug thing with a ball in front of him. I tinted the ball a very pale blue-it was pretty cool-Dad loved it.
