Why do my styles not load?

I recently downloaded Jewel's Style 2 from the Adobe Exchange to try out Wendy's Beaded Border tutorial.
I put the file into adobe\photshop elements 5.0\presets\styles and I can see it there..... but when I look in my layer styles, I can't find it. I even did a complete restart thinking maybe it needed to load it but I still can't find it. What do you do to make these load?

Hi Marley ...

Styles install in a different way in PSE5 ... Try this:

Installing Layer Styles PSE5. First make sure that the "Show hidden folders and files" option is turned on in Windows. Then create a Shortcut on the desk top to:

C: Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>5.0>Photo Creations>Special Effects>Layer Styles

To install a Layer Style just create a new folder (if you need to), pop the .asl file (or files) in it and then drop the folder on the shortcut ... restart Elements and the layer style then shows up in Special Effects>Layer Styles

CARE ... Vista is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\Special Effects\Layer Styles

Thanks so much Wendy! I don't think I could have figured that out on my own!
I thought it would be as easy as plunking it into the right directory and it would go! Silly me! I've sure got a long way to go to get onto this program. I sure admire those of you who have figured all these quirks out for the rest of us.
I now have the new styles and am going to play!
