This thread was a good idea. Wonder if Michelle, Kim and Norma will finally reveal who is whom in their fun photos.
Kimi, I really wasn't in the mood for trying the outfit on to send a picture to my Dad.
Charlotte, clone me in, I have blues eyes.:D I'll get the CD's out that I just copied most of my photos to and see if I can find a better photo.
Ok, it this one better. Needs some editing but oh well. This was last Christmas.

I don't care what Kimi really looks like, to me she's a happy sunflower with a goofy grin. :)
I actually expected hair going in all directions and a Howdy Doody Smile. Oh well...
Linda's right -- it is sorta like listening to the radio. Mental images that may become more fixed than reality. It is nice to see faces.

Thank you all for the compliments… I will let you in on my secrets to keeping that…well…. dimpled look.
Laugh and point at the food pyramid … eat when you want…as much as you want and never feel guilty.
Drink beer and wine… not because it contains anti oxidants but because it tastes good and smooooothes the waves.
Exercise at least once a decade… preferably running to the post office to get that tax return in at the last minute.
Spend hours setting at the computer in this forum. Your B…t can’t sag if you’re setting on it.
And lastly and most importantly…..HAVE NO SHAME.

Chuck I see you have the same ear hair problem I have. Ear hair is like the grass that grows like wild fire in the cracks of your concrete driveway while your Kentucky Blue Grass dies a horrible summer death under the sprinkler.
If we could only transplant that hair where it is needed most. Other than that your real picture is much better than the scary one in your avatar.

Byron that bug of yours drives me crazy!! :D I think it was the day after you changed your avator that we were watching tv and a large spider walked across the screen. It's a 53" projection screen. A couple minutes later it was back. Okay......enough........my son gets up to squash him and what he wasn't ON the front of the screen but inside the tv walking on the screen!! I had some moments of panic wondering if it was a male for female and if we would have a bunch on tiny spiders walking all over the screen but the next day it was gone and hasn't been seen since. OK everyone. Here's a pic from last summer coming down from the Angel's Landing trail at Zion NP in Utah. The hike goes straight up that ridge behind me; the summit is out of sight. I was very happy to get down alive (ha!)

Geez Louise! I go away for a long weekend and this thread takes on a life of its own.
Here's (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1KF3AqucKLjn7iksV7VVz0giTPyYq1) why I don't have photos of myself. This (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1Y0Eq9jgycs1LCVaf1tSpoUr15U1) is how I used to look.
OK, enough jokes. Here's a recent photo (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=20220) of my buddy and me at San Diego Wild Animal Park's butterly exhibit.
BTW, that's my DW in the 2nd photo. She said she was running off with him if I kept racing and looking like the first photo. I no longer have a buzz cut since I stopped racing.

Oh, yes. A picture of myself. Would you belive, I don't really have one, as I'm always on the other side of the camera. But I hope to get one, somehow, soon and will post it here. I have a second reason for needing to have my picture taken. My d-i-l is making "family flash cards" for Clara, since they don't live in the same city as any other kin-folk. She wants one family member face on each card, with a few little facts about the person. I think she's laminating them. Then Clara can play with them, and learn names, and practice matching couples (like "Grandma goes with Grandpa" or "Uncle Tim goes with Aunt Tanya"). I think it's a clever idea, so I need to get a picture off to her -- one of me and one of "Grandpa" too.

I made cards like that for my kids, since hubby's side of the family lives on the opposite coast. It really helped for the first couple of visits back east, since they were at least familiar faces.
I need to make some more because even though they were laminated they didn't stand up long term and now I need them for my son. :)

Diana
Wendy
June 1st, 2007, 04:35 AM
Hi Diana ...
The centre part (below my photo) is done using a custom shape and a stroke around the edge then I experimented and tried out an inner shadow on it ... I did use CS2 so I was able to adjust the innner shadow better that I could have done with Elements.
The swirls around the image I made using small parts from an illustration then I made brushes for all the parts ... and used a selection of them on the image. I did half (corner to corner) and then duplicate it and flipped it over to do the second side). I was going to apply a layer style but started off with simply a texture ... I liked that effect so left it at that.
Glad that you like it ... I don't like doing layouts with me in them but I needed this one for another site :)

I truly cherish these pictures. It helps me to put faces behind the pictures in the galleries and comments in the forums. I love them all. We have a great group of people here. Let's make a pact that we will always maintain this level of peace, love, and friendship on this forum.
I second that!

Well its been like this since the very early day back at the end of 2004 ... and I too hope that it never changes.
I guess that the friendly atmosphere where everyone is always willing to help people out is one of the main reasons that keep me here :)

Here I am. Hopefully you'll all be so dazzled by my famous companion that you won't notice the bald woman in the hideous hat.
