creating more realism

This is a pic I am doing for a friend. I'm sure she does not expect perfection but when I start something.... I can't let go. I have tried different filters and layer modes to try and get the faces more similar. I have gotten this far. I also tried Virtaul Photographer which I love.
Any suggestions?

I assume his head is on it's own layer. I think you should make a levels adjustment on his head and a little contrast and brightness adjustment would help too. His face have alot more contrast than the rest of the photo

Hi Michelle ...

Try flipping his head horizontally ... that gives it a better angle :)
