trying to decide which to purchase.. as i begin the launch of my photography business...
I know this a PSE forum but just wondering if anyone has lightroom and/or its comparison to CS2?
as a photographer, what are the benefits of having CS2 over lightroom? do people like lightroom since since its come out? dislikes about it??
or anyone have a direction they can point me in where people do use these?/
thanks!

Keri,
Someone asked the same question recently on THIS THREAD (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20261&highlight=lightroom). Maybe it will be of some use to you.

Most of what I've read is that Lightroom isn't a competition for CS2 but an addition to CS2. CS2 is for editing photos and Lightroom is for cataloging them.

Have you thought about getting CS3...A lot of new cool things..Improved Raw, better smart objects, B/W adjustment layers and a new nifty selection tool...I'm going to take the plunge soon
as for Lightroom, I downloaded the beta and could not really get comfortable with it, but I do agree that it would be more of a compliment to photoshop

I agree with Chas
I have used Lightroom and fell in love with it's features, the only problem for what I do photoshop for CS2 is most of all I need plus letting go of That much money right now is a little hard. I would love to have both but CS2 is all I need for now.
