I have pre-ordered CS3 - yes I know, a bit like giving a 3 year old a Ferrari;) - and am doing a bit of tidying up in preparation. I have 27 Gb available on my hard drive and thought I should clear my photos. I have a copy of all my photos on an external hard drive and backed them all up on a some DVDs. If I delete them, will the thumbnails still show in iPhoto or do I have to browse through the external drive.
Sorry if this seems a really dumb question, I just don't know:confused:
Seems scary thing to do, but I guess I will have to do this at some point.
Thanks for any help.

Yes, I think so. Maybe I should copy the whole program? sorry to be vague, I did it about 6 weeks ago and lost courage doing the rest.

Hi ...
If you copied the whole library then try connecting iPhoto to the "new" library. Once you have checked that it is OK you will then be able to remove the existing one ...
You can use iPhotos Buddy to do that ... or find the existing library and put a ~ (or anything else) in from of the file name. When you start up iPhoto it will then say it can't find the library and ask if you wish to find it ... you then use the window to locate it :)
