I took this shot about 2 hours ago. I really thought I captured these in a way that expresses nature and the reproduction cycle.

Wow! That's a really great photo. What lens do you use for close-ups like that, Bob? Did you use your new tripod?

Thanks Julie :) The lens I use is a Sigma 70-300 APO Macro. It doesn't have true macro capabilities but it does a decent job. I did use my new tripod, no matter what anyone says, for shots like this you can not beat using a tripod.

Bob, forgot to post back. Got my camera back. But its storming now so I can't go outside and take any pics. Guess it can wait til tomorrow:( I tried to take pics of the dogs but they both ran from me.

Throw a grocery bag over it and have fun:D I actually did that last week and got some good shots. My friend at the camera shop said that as long as I wasn't soaking my camera in water that a little rain wouldn't hurt it, but I still used the bag method. Can't wait to get a real weather sealed camera and be able to shoot whenever I want.
