Simone,

I so like your latest in the gallery. http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=19881

But then, when I began to look at the rest of your gallery, I was in awe! You truly are gifted. Every photo is a real delight.

Hi there, thanks so much! Today I did finally update my gallery and I am sooooo pleased you like them. :) Norma, about how I got the effect on the bird... actually there is no affect other than basic adjustments, it's just the actual photo with some touchups. I was so fortunate to have caught the bird in this sweet pose out of about 20 I shot of him on this branch. Behind the branch is a rolling grassy hill, which gives it the natural green background. I have several bird feeders and with luck, patience, fast shutter speeds and burst mode I've gotten some lucky shots. The cardinals the same -- I must have hundreds of photos of them over 2-3 months and was lucky enough to get this one. Indeed, that squirrel is truly a ham and a hoot, except not when he's stealing birdie food. Again, thank you all for taking the time to give feedback ! :)

Some beautiful images in this gallery. It's hard to pick a favourite though I do especially like "coffee shop" and "south coast of france".

Thanks for the additional comments, it is much appreciated.

For those who enjoy birds, I just now finished today's update and added 2 more of them, a robin and a little sparrow who encountered something a bit too big for him to chew on.... ;)

Simone, they are all great. If I had a bird feeder and birds like that in my back yard I would not get a thing done waiting all day for the shots.
Great gallery - thanks for sharing.

Hi Simone,

I really like all the latest pics of your birds especially the one with the soft white background "too big for me" - so awesome. I'm in love with that one... Great work!

Simone, I, too, love your gallery. The coffee shop one made me laugh. It's a very nice photo and captures "today" really well.

Simone- I, too, really enjoyed looking through your gallery. what great images you have, and so well presented. The south of France is terrific- that belongs in a frame on a wall. thanks for sharing your images with us!

Thank you so very much for this wonderful feedback! :) It really helps to know that you're on the right track and now I'm inspired to continue...

Shari - yes, what you said!

Honeydew, if you liked the "too big for me" bird photo, you might like this one too, it's another "awwwwwe" type. I thought this guy was just sooooo cute! (he's a eurasian tree sparrow, same as in my main image.)

For those who enjoy birds, I can share a few more photos of the varieties I've been watching around the homestead. I have tiny chickadees too but they are too fast for a good photo yet!
Thanks again all, for taking the time to comment :)

Simone--the sparrow photo is beautiful. It reminds me very much of some Japanese paintings we have which were done on silk cloth.
