I've read through the manual, but I can't figure out if I can have two-three photos on a screen at a time for a slide show. A little desperate, since I need this slide show ASAP for my daughter's wedding next week. Thanks.

Hi there ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Creat a new document called Collage
then open up the first image you want to add to it
Select>All then Edit>Copy
Click on Collage and do Edit>Paste
... now just do that with the other images you want to add.
You can use the move tool to put then in place and you can also resize then using he moce tool (just clicl in the corner and drag)
Hope this helps but if you need more info then just ask :)

When you say to create a new document called collage, do you mean a Microsoft document? I didn't think I could integrate MS into the Adobe slide show.
Thanks.

Thanks. I tried that, but then I couldn't find the "move" button, so my photos were on top of each other. Ah, where is it?
Then I thought I would be clever and use photomerge which prompted me with the message that my photos wouldn't fit and would I like to arrange them. Which I did. Okay, now I had trouble saving and getting out of the editor. It had a "lock" on my photos. I also couldn't figure out how to get out of editor - for the life of me I can't find a save button; I've been clicking on X and then get a prompt.
Sorry for all the trouble here. I *just* received 185 photos of my future son-in-law growing up from my daughter's future in-laws (I asked for these in April) and so I'm in a panic mode. I just finished scanning 100 photos of my daughter growing up to complement his photos. Do I sound like I'm on countdown overload? ;-)
Thanks again for your help.

Hi there ...
The Move tool is in the tool box (far left hand side of the screen) ... its the top tool and looks like a small diamond shape.
Is this your first time using Elements ?

Not the first time. I know how to use the organizer component, but a newbie when it comes to editing. I have figured out how to add the photos, move, and save- but I notice when I grab a corner to resize, the photo gets very distorted (the ratio is not locked and I can't seem to find where to set that). Many years ago I actually audited a course in Adobe Photoshop on a MAC. It's obvious though I'm not intuitive when it comes to technology. Thanks again,

There are a couple of ways to keep the distortion from happening when you try to resize. The first way is to hold down your shift key when you resize. The second is select what you want to resize then Ctrl T and then there is a button on the bar above your screen to lock the ratio.
Let us know if this works for you :)
