Why did this line show up?

Here is a first draft of a graduation party invite. The last thing I did was decide to add a texturizer to the background and all of a sudden that line showed up in the middle. Why would it have done that?

I amm not really happy with the invite, it still needs something, not sure what, but this was done is about 5 minutes, but that line showing up has me stumped! Actually the whole texture looks a little funny.

Hi Colleen- Can't believe she's graduating!! I don't have a clue about the line, but I wonder if the invite would like more finished with frames or something around the pictures? Right now, it looks like a mixture of formal, with the script, and then informal, with the pictures and colors. I'll mark June 2nd on the calendar.:D

No idea about the line either. If you take the texture away, does it go away?
Could it be like a seam in the texture repeat?

Take a look at, and experiment with, the "scaling slider". It may well be that the texture pattern is having to repeat to cover your image.

Hey,
Rusty might be on to something there. I had a line when we did the displacement hw, a while back (giraffes). Never could get the slider to the
right spot, so I gave up and used the healing and clone tool.
Now, is the time 1 pm until....You know I have a far drive.
Do you need us to bring anything?

Would love to have you guys! Yep, there will be adult beverage....only for the adults, food and tons of general silliness as my husband will be there and that is his favorite thing of all time!!!

I can't believe it either. I still can't believe 12 years have passed since I took that other picture on the first day of kindergarten when she absolutely did NOT want to be there!

My baby girl is graduating this year as well. It is hard to believe that in a few months the house will be very quiet.:(:D:confused:

Colleen, the invite is coming along nicely. I had a similar problem with soemthing not to long ago and I ended up changing the background all together instead of asking for help. I am no longer working again so June 2nd is open on my calendar now too. Adult beverage and general silliness sounds good to me too.:D

Rusty is right, Colleen. Get that slider up to at least 100% to get rid of the line.

Hi ..

Another thought is when you made the original image did you use two backgrounds and slide them together ... sometimes a gap isn't visable onscreen until you zoom in very close OR apply a filter etc to it :)
