New HD Photo Format

Here is an article in the June 2007 issue of Smart Computing.
Does this mean that new cameras will save info to this new format instead of jpeg?

Sounds like it will be a while if at all but Microsoft do seem to be pushing it. If you want to try there's a Beta of the plug-in for Photoshop (which I assume would work in Elements) on the Microsoft site:

It sure does sound good, but just like Adobe with DNG, just because Microsoft will push it won't make it universal.
