Is there a trick to getting the particular tab that you are looking for to come to front of the stack in the palette dock box? Seems easier to open a palette from the Window Menu list and just forget that palette dock. What am I missing? Thanks

The best way to use the palette dock in PSE2 is to only have a few palettes in it ..
Just keep the ones that you use most in there, that way you will be able to read all of the tabs and simply click on the one you want. The only ones I keep there are Effects, Filters, Layers, Layer styles and Undo History.

Even with just four palettes in the dock, it seems that some are still hidden, and hard to get to. Do you use the right-click menu to manipulate their positions, or is there a better way?

What resolution do you have you monitor set to?
Mine is set to 1024X 768 and I can see 6 with no problem at all ..
I just checked it out and if I use another resolution then the palettes simply squash together and are difficult to read. So if you are able to I would change resolution.

Wendy.... thanks for the advice. I am set at 800x600, but I fear that increasing the res will make things too small for these old eyes to see. Are there other advantages to increasing the res? I have a 17" CRT type monitor. Banjolover

I'm not sure ... as I have always had mine set to 1024 x 768 and I'm sure that I read somewhere that Elements should be set to that. What happens when you open palettes in the palette well ... do they not vanish off the screen at 800 x 600?
Why not try 1024 x 768 and see how you get on ... if it isn't usable then you can always switch back.
