The Killer Tip video for 4/26 is FANTASTIC quality.... video-wise, anyway.
They've posted the .mov file, instead of a highly-compressed .mp4 file -- a difference of about three times the file size, but the picture is amazing.
The audio drops out as soon as the actual instruction begins, though, but it is still hear-able.

Byron,
the quality is great, the lesson very interesting and informative.
I had no problem with the audio.

Why was the format changed. Can no longer acess through itunes. Also, I am unable to open the file to view.
Can someone please let me know how to access this file.
Thanks

I have not figured this out myself...the way the file is being created here or an i-Tunes problem. I am currently waiting for the download through my free i-Tunes subscription to this podcast. It is taking forever plus which would be consistent with a huge file size.
If this is really a huge .mov file (for reasons unknown at this time) and you do have the file, have you tried to right click it and designate OPEN WITH QuickTime?
To be continued

The rest of the story....
This podcast download finally completed within i-Tunes. Download was very slow. As has been reported by Byron Gale, it is indeed a QuickTime movie and not mp4 as before. The file here was 67.2 MB, and the video run time is 7:28.
I found the quality of the video to be good as was the audio for the most part. The audio volume was good, but there were several small audio glitches of a few second duration through. It was difficult to tell if it was Corey Barker's microphone or i-Tunes or other.
However, I have noted that, when I am trying to view one of these videos and it has these audio glitches, I can resolve the nuisance by copying the file in i-Tunes to the computer and then playing it (OPEN WITH) in Quicktime (mp4 or now .mov).
Maybe Corey Barker will report in with what is happening.

Dear ATR,
Thank you for the information. I am trying, again, to download the file. It
keeps stopping and I have yet to download the complete file. It has been downloading now for about 15 minutes. Hopefully, this time it will download completely, then I can follow your instrustions.
Thanks again,
Maryb

I had to try downloading 5 times in the itunes subscription- it would start then I'd go away and it would stop.
Oops ...I just went back to see how big it is and it now says get with the ! again. I was sure it was done before.

I just downloaded the file to itunes without a problem. I didn't time how long it took to download but the quality is very good, both audio and video. I was also downloading a Photoshop workbench video at the same time and the duration of downloading didn't seem unusual.........

No problem here either although it is a .mov and not the usual mpeg4 so is double the normal size. Took about 4 minutes via i-tunes - not too bad.

How did you do with getting the file for this podcast?
Although I did finally get a download via the free subscription route at i-Tunes, I explored an alternative way. So, if it is still not working from i-Tunes, the following did work this morning:
On the Photoshop Elements Techniques Home Page there is an ad for Photoshop Elements Killer Tips with a "download all the episodes" link. Download this episode from there. In my case, my downloads go to the Desktop. When the download was finished (took about 10 minutes, again about 67 MB, QuickTime file), I double clicked the icon for this downloaded file on my desktop and the episode opened in QuickTime.

Since I'm using Real Player to view the Tips, the .mov file played flawlessly but did download slower.
