Tutorial by Corey Barker
Making A Digital Count Down Clock (as you would see at the beginning of a movie) from scratch
Photoshop TV (iTunes Photoshop CS2 Podicast with hosts Scott Kelby, Dave Cross, Matt Kloskowski)
April 23, 2007, Episode 78
If you have not seen this, I suggest giving it a look. I think it will get you thinking about how to adapt this CS2 tip to Photoshop Elements as well as get you interested in animation. I was able to do this with my Photoshop 7.0 with its Image Ready and Animation Palette. But, the challenge was getting it to work with my Photoshop Elements 3.0, no Animation Palette. But, in 3.0, you can use the route which includes Save As, CompuServe GIF (*.GIF) and check off Layers As Frames. With a little tool substitution here and there, it turned out pretty good. I am not sure if animation in Photoshop 4.0 and 5.0 is more advanced than the 3.0 version, but I would give it a try.
This Thread is to encourage Forum Users to look into animation possibilities with Photoshop Elements. I just hope it does not have the fallout effect of more eye challenging animation in the User Response Headers. You know who I mean.
