Hi, I have a color photo that I want to turn into black and white but bring back the original color to something in the photo. Can you walk me through this? For example: I have a photo of a child in blue jean overalls, can I turn the photo black and white but bring back color only to the overalls, and the childs eyes? Also is it possible to add color (pink) to the childs cheeks even though it's obvisouly not in the original photo. Thank You in advance for any help, kaykay

Oh, I'm sorry  I have been looking at past posts and found the answer to my question on how to bring color back to something in the black and white photo. Still wondering if you can add color to something that wasn't on the original photo, color to the cheeks, or even changing the blue color of the overalls to maybe a darker or lighter color than in the original. Thanks kaykay

Sorry, I don't want to be a nuisance but I have one more question to add. After I'm finished with the photo and I'm ready to have it printed, how do I save it now that I'm working with layers? I know I need to do something like merge them to one and save like normal but I'm not sure how to do that.

hi there ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Glad you managed to find a thread on how to do it ... now when you come to save all you need to do is save it as a psd that way all the layers will stay intact (Just use Save As ... and make sure that the format is Photoshop).
Do let us know how you go on ... and you could show us the image using Pixentral?
To do that:
First resize a copy of your image using "save for web"
Set the longest side to 750 pixels
then adjust the quality slider until the image is around 150K.
and save it with a new name.
http://www.pixentral.com/index.php
Follow the instructions on the site and then when your image is uploaded copy the URL and paste it into a message here :)

Oh 100 plus photos at one go is hard work ... we went to a wedding the other week and I took about 120 images then we went on holiday and I took another couple of hundred.
Now I'm slowly working my way through them ... and it is so tedious :(
What sort of photos do you take ?
