Hello Everyone. I am a newbie and would appreciate some advice on the proper size a photo should be before it is resized to go into my gallery. I posted to my gallery for the first time and some of the pictures are tiny and some large when I clicked on each to view it. Can anyone shed some light?

patreyn,
The size that your image starts with isn't important, it's where it ends that counts! :) What I do when I want to post a picture is simply open my picture in elements/go to file/save for web/set the larger of the width or height to between 600 and 700 pixels and then set the quality at the highest percentage possible to keep the image under 300k for this site. If you hit apply in the new image box it will show you what the resulting saved image file size will be. Then simply save and upload the image. By doing it in this manner all your images will have the same max width or height.

hope that helps,
hlq

Thanks for the help with correctly sizing my photos, hardleequick. I knew there had to be an easy way to do it but didn't know what it was!
