Help. I just installed Photoshop Elements 4. When I run my Norton Internet Security-One Button Checkup I get two error msg:
1) '.psb.refers to invalid program identifier Photoshop Elements. PSB file.'
2) ProgID. Photoshop Elements.Application invalid ActiveX/Com entry {16aa0b9e-79ac-43b5-86ca-ab961fbeed5f}.
What does these errors mean??
Tks,

I believe (although I don't use Norton so I don't know for sure) that Norton is picking up some entries made to the registry that probably got added and deleted during the PSE4 installation. If Elements is running correctly then you can probably ignore them. Or you can try a repair (I think Norton has that capability).
It's always a good idea to turn off Norton (or other such programs) when installing a new program. They can interfere with the installation or throw up messages like the one you've got.

A .psb file is a file that is part of a Backup created by Photoshop Elements: it is the backup of the Organizer catalog file within the overall Backup. I have no idea why Norton would flag it as invalid.
