changing color

In the styles and effects menu under patterns, is it possible to change the color of a pattern?

Try this: After you fill a layer or whatever you're filling with the pattern. with that layer active, Press Ctrl-U to get the Hue/Saturation dialog. Make sure Colorize is checked, then use the Hue slider to change colors.

OK, I just brought up the hue/saturation as an ajustment layer in the layers palette and it worked.

Glad that you got it to work for you. I just tried it again without the adjustment layer and it seems to work for me. But adjustment layers are good to use, so I guess you're all set.:)
