PS For anyone having problems getting the whole link to paste I find the best way is to triple click on the url - this makes sure tht you don't miss anything out. (I think this possibly only works for PCs)

I thought I did copy all of the link thing when I tried before (obviously not) Next question. Are y'all finding them on a gif site and taking then rt clicking on the url in the address bar, or, are these saved ones you have in a folder to use in e-mails (those I can do).

I think you don't want to copy and paste the URL that's in your address bar, you want to copy and paste the link next to the animation that you want to use. See if that works for you. http://bestsmileys.com/excited/2.gif

You should be able to Oscar. My avatar came from a different site. I did save for web, then made sure to check the box for gif, and automate.
Then put it in the avartar section of user CP.
As usual, for me...it took a couple of tried to get it right.

My guess would be that they used a template to build the various pages and that the question mark smileys are simply placeholders waiting for new smileys to be added.

instead of copy/pasting the url thing (like for here...)
simply rt click on the little picture (right side)>save as>stick them whreever. I have a gif folder.
Then to use in e-mail go to insert from the tool bar above> picture> browse (find it) and ok. I do all mine like that.
